The Village at Sherman Oaks (2025)

The broader Sherman Oaks neighborhood emerged in 1927 when General Moses Hazeltine Sherman, co-founder of the Los Angeles Suburban Homes Company, subdivided 1,000 acres and sold parcels at about $780 per acre, hence the area’s namesake. In 1999, local leaders established the Village at Sherman Oaks BID, aiming to cultivate a walkable, appealing “main street” atmosphere.
