Carmel Valley Manor (2025)

The Northern California Congregational churches initiated a retirement community on a 28-acre former ranch (Hollow Hills Farm). The site’s rolling landscapes and serene ambiance set the foundation for what would become Carmel Valley Manor. Developed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the initial adobe “Guest House” became home to founding leadership in 1960. Construction began shortly after, with opening day in 1963.
